ABOUT COL SOLARE WINES

Col Solare reflects the Antinori family’s commitment to crafting fine wines from the very best fruit grown in the prestigious Red Mountain AVA. With over 27 generations of passion and expertise, every bottle embodies a legacy that transcends borders and time.

VINTAGE

The 2023 vintage on Red Mountain was defined by low yields and exceptional fruit quality. The growing season began cool, with delayed budbreak, but warmer conditions in May allowed the vines to progress through a timely, even bloom. June and July were consistently warm, followed by sustained heat in August and more moderate temperatures through September and October.

Harvest began with Syrah on September 5 and concluded with Cabernet Sauvignon on October 20. The combination of reduced yields and steady heat resulted in small, concentrated berries with intense flavor development and outstanding tannin quality. Importantly, Red Mountain’s cool nighttime temperatures helped preserve freshness and varietal definition across all wines, balancing concentration with purity.
