Vintage
The 2024 Vintage on Red Mountain is nothing short of exceptional, demonstrating remarkable quality and resilience. The year kicked off with a cold snap in January, followed by a cool spring and a slow start to the growing season. However, temperatures surged in July and remained warm through mid-August, which set the stage for an ideal harvest.
Despite the chilly start in January, the vines thrived and delivered a crop that's bursting with flavor. Col Solare's harvest began later than usual with Cabernet Sauvignon for Rosé picked on September 9. The resulting wine is a testament to this vintage, showcasing exceptional intensity, varietal richness, and invigorating freshness.

Winemaking
This style of Rosé was crafted utilizing whole berry pressing. Fruit was sourced from our Estate Vineyard at about 22 Brix. After gentle pressing, the juice settled for 24 hours prior to being racked to 25% concrete and 75% stainless steel vessels. The juice was fermented at cool temperatures for about 3 weeks and continued to age in a mix of Stainless Steel, concrete, and acacia wood. No ML Fermentation.
